From 1993 to 2006, OVFI and HP Software jointly produced HP Software Forum in the U.S. and. in 2006 , also in Asia Pacific. One significant change in user group service strategy starting in 2007 is that Vivit will no longer produce the large, user run conference known as HP Software Forum. Instead, HP will manage the annual HP Software conferences worldwide. These new conferences will combine OpenView and Mercury conferences into new events branded as HP Software Universe. HP will produce an HP Software Universe event in each of the 3 major regions once each year.
By diverting its efforts to areas other than large-scale conferences, Vivit will strengthen its focus on providing valuable services that integrate the entire HP-focused software community without losing the benefits of OVFI’s renowned user-to-user communication and services.
